Softcover first edition of this scarce and important catalogue of the artist’s furniture, published in conjunction with the exhibition at Museum Boymans-van Beuningen held from April 25 to June 20, 1993. The book design by Donald Judd in collaboration with the London-based firm 8vo features a ribbed brown Kraft paper dust jacket with an iconic Judd grid pattern. The texts, in English, Dutch, and German, include Brigitte Huck’s essay assessing the artist’s furniture in relation to his overall artistic vision and Judd’s own essay “It’s Hard to Find a Good Lamp” in which he recounts his furniture design history and theory. Octavo (10.75” x 8.75”), printed dust jacket over stiff wrappers, 134 pages, illustrated throughout with full-color photographs of the artist’s furniture and his spaces in Switzerland, Texas, and New York.
