Inscribed on the front free endpaper to James Frasher, dated Easter Tuesday 1969. Frasher was Gish’s longtime manager and confidante, and was himself a minor actor in a handful of mid-century Westerns. The inscription indicates an early moment in their relationship. With two James Frasher bookplates, one signed by Gish, and an embossed Frasher seal. Also laid in is a holiday greeting card from Gish to Frasher, with a warm note reading “Dear Jim: I could not begin to thank you for your goodness to me this past year.
