FORM (Svenska Slöjdföreningen Tidskrift) 1959 No. 5

Founded in 1905, FORM is one of the world’s oldest magazines on design and architecture in continuous publication.

In their own words: “FORM is the leading Swedish publication dealing with furniture and interior decoration, textiles, pottery, glass, metal work, etc. It is published by Svenska Slöjdföreningen, the Swedish Society of Industrial Design whose aim is the improvement of design in industry and handicrafts and the consideration of housing and furnishing problems including their social aspect.”

The No. 5 issue from 1959 features on its cover the photography of Petter Gullers, with the below content:

-Nu börjar en ny epok för Slöjdföreningens skola (Now begins a new era for the School of Crafts)

-Melodier som ble borte (Melodies that got lost) by Odd Brochmann

-Bättre möbler för de gamla (Better furniture for the old) by Sonna Rosén

-Apropå Möbelmässan 1959, Lena Larsson intervjuas (Speaking of the Furniture Fair 1959, an interview with Lena Larsson)

-Rörstrand i London (Rörstrand in London)

-Konstnär i stengods 25-årsjubilerar (Artist in stoneware celebrates 25 years)

-En ny version av Form i centrum (A new version of Form in the center)

-Bo i förstad i Norrköping (Live in the suburbs of Norrköping)

-Lysrøret, en replik (The fluorescent tube, a retort) by Poul Henningsen

-Sigurd Persson vann tävlingen om flygbestick (Sigurd Persson won the flight cutlery competition)

-Formrevy (Form review)

1’’ closed tears to spine ends and bottom edge of rear wrapper. Light diagonal creasing in diminishing order from front wrapper to pp. 262. Mild rubbing to wrappers.
