"Germinal" is one of the few French livres d'artiste published in America. The present copy is an artist's proof (tirage à part) inscribed by Haass to the renowned art critic and historian Dore Ashton and her artist-husband Adja Yunkers. A nice association copy. 8vo. The intimately scaled etchings measure approximately 2 inches x 2.75 inches each. Light bumping to extremities with chipping to spine ends.
