Original 1960’s Swiss travel poster for the Bernese Oberland Alps, with a design based on his painting by Hugo Weitl. Weitl (1916-1972) was a Swiss painter, graphic designer, lithographer, and illustrator. He opened his own studio in 1956, working extensively with SwissAir as well as illustrating numerous travel books. Part of a series designed to promote popular tourist destinations in Switzerland. Lithograph on paper, 24” x 14”. In flat storage for the past 5 decades, so in excellent condition with bold, vibrant colors. Unframed.
